Chasing A Sound - Single

Born and raised in Bethany, Ontario, Hunter James channels the raw, outlaw spirit of Americana into every chord he strums. His sound is a fearless blend, grounded in traditional storytelling, yet edged with the gritty swagger of outlaw blues, the twang of dusty highways, and a hint of rock-fuelled rebellion. For the past 3 years, Hunter has been honing his craft in the writers’ room, on stage and in the studio.

Hunter’s rising popularity has already seen him take the stage at notable venues and festivals such as Kee To Bala, DepartureFest, North of Nowhere, and Winding Roads Live. Over the past year, he’s performed 60+ shows and has opened for various artists, including The Reklaw’s, JoJo Mason and Riley Taylor. Whether he’s delivering a soul-stirring ballad that quiets the room or unleashing a foot-stomping tune that leaves the crowd wanting more, Hunter James doesn’t just perform, he creates a shared experience, guiding every audience through an unforgettable musical journey. With a sound that bridges the grit of outlaw country and the heart of Americana, Hunter stands as one of Ontario’s most promising new voices, unique, honest, grounded, and unapologetically real.
